Modbus Slave for the Pocket PC
The Modbus Slave program allows your Pocket PC to emulate up to 10 Modbus slave devices which can communicate with another Master device connected to the serial port or ethernet network port of your Pocket PC. The Master device can be a PLC, a SCADA system or any other device or piece of software which runs as a Modbus Master. You can also configure up to 10 data blocks to emulate the memory map of the slave devices. The individual data blocks are shown in a grid format on screen and can display up to 64 words of information at a time. You can easily scroll backwards and forwards through the memory map of the slave devices to show more data as required. The data can be shown in a variety of formats including :
Double words formats can also be shown in High/Low or Low/High word format. You can simply click on a cell in the grid and modify the data value shown. A scripting facility is available so you can write your own code to simulate simple PLC type programs within the slave devices. These can be used for simple timers, watchdogs, setting values on change of state etc. You can find more information on the scripting facilities and see more screen shots of the program here. A protocol trace screen is also available to show the raw data being sent and received from the Modbus devices. This trace can also be sent to a file if required. You can download a free trial copy of the program
